The little star was sad. Quantum didn't believe in it, and that means a lot to a star. Without quantum you can't have fission, and without fission a star is nothing.
The thing was, the star was alone. It was a few billion light years to the nearest gallery. It was so lonely it would put up with a name like NGC 9738 just to have an astronomer dream of it.
A planet would be worth its weight in god.
Eventually the star got so heavy-hearted that it collapsed into blackness. Friendships with spaghetti don't last long, but nor do unobservèd stars.
