Vogue Sans by taejo Vogue Sans by taejo
I've always liked high-contrast sans-serif faces, so here's mine. I've been working on this font on and off since I finished Scarange, but I finally finished the capitals yesterday.

Please comment, and state your preference for small-caps or genuine lowercase letters.

Inspired Gaeul, Bodoni and (most of all) the Vogue title font.

Edit: I just downloaded the font and noticed you fixed the S, O and G. I still think the small curves (B, P, R) are a bit too thin though. 7 and 8 look odd. I like 4 though.

Anyway, it's a bit weird that your font is different from the image you uploaded. I would actually love to see a proper image with some more text set in the latest version of this font. Also feel free to submit to my Group Temple of Typefaces.

I haven't worked on this for ages -- I don't really like it. But at some point I might fix it up. Thanks for your suggestions.

Hmm I like small-caps, but you're not using small-caps here but smaller capitals. They should have the same weight as the capitals. If you do design small-caps, I think the x-height should be higher.

The S seems to be falling backwards a bit and the curves in O and G are thinner than the straight thick lines. I also don't like the N with that horizontal cut at the top.

hi, nice work on the font but, i have a question: what programs you use to make up your fonts. a combination of illustrator and like fontographer? or that is to say, a vector drawing program and some kind of 'fonting' program? and how long did it take?

I use FontForge. It's for linux, and it's free. It works, and better than Font Creator Pro (for Windows), the only other program I've used. There's no way I can afford macromedia and all that.
